We are also pleased to share with you the news that Babb Bros. BBQ & Blues (http://babbbrothers.com/) will be opening their doors to the public on November 29, 2012. You do not know what you are missing until you slather their sauce on something meaty. It’s really that good! And those Babb Bros. can belt out a bluesy tune or three, as well! Good food and personality – these guys have it in heaps. Make sure you stop out and support them and enjoy some dang good ‘q!

This past weekend we also enjoyed the tapping of a few kegs over at Four Corner’s Brewing Co. (http://www.fcbrewing.com/). Locals got their first glimpse of the microbrewery while enjoying a few of their signature beers, including the tasty Local Buzz. The brewery was the brainchild of a few Dallas homebrewers who knew they had something good, so they decided to share it with the rest of us. We are glad they did! Look for Four Corner’s brews on tap at your favorite local watering holes.

Bridge to nowhere, huh? We are definitely here and we plan on hanging around for quite a while. Stop by and visit us and see for yourself what is going on.

Let’s Get Cooking – and Learning!

Great news! Our Spring 2013 cooking workshop schedule is now available online! We know that this is a very limited schedule, but many of you had been knocking down our doors telling us you were ready to get back into the kitchen. We listened and did what we could to deliver a handful of seasonally topical workshops. We are currently working on an expanded class schedule with brand new topics and techniques for 2013 and they will be posted to the calendar soon so you can start making delicious plans to sign up and cook up a storm!

We would like to welcome chef-instructors Mike Johnson, Dawn Knowlton and Jenny Scott back to our kitchen. These instructors bring a wealth of culinary knowledge and a love of food that they want to share with you.

Are there any topics you would like to see on our workshop calendar? Please let us know and we will see what we can do to create a class around that idea. We have our thinking caps on and are designing classes around favorite topics from the past, plus news ideas we have been tossing around.

We also can create special cooking experiences, including cooking parties, chef demos, and Stainless Steel Chef Competitions, for you and your group. Birthday parties, girls’ night out, organization outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family reunions, any event or occasion is more fun in the kitchen cooking up some fun.

On Thursday, September 27, 2012, 3015 at trinity groves officially opened the doors and welcomed friends, family, foodies, local media, special guests, and YOU!

West Dallas and the new Trinity Groves development is where we call home now and we wanted to do something special for the area and give a little love back to our new neighbors.

For a small donation of $30.15 (get it, 3015?!) everyone who walked through our doors was treated to food, fun, and live music! They also had the opportunity to learn firsthand about our beneficiary for the evening, Hunger Busters (www.hungerbusters.com).

The Hunger Busters staff truly “busted” it out by bringing everything needed for our guests to get hands-on experience in what it takes to prepare the 3000-plus “3rd meals” they make weekly and distribute to DISD elementary school children. They even carted over their bagging machine which needed a forklift to be brought into and taken out of our building! It was a sight to see everyone assembling sandwiches, bagging them, and boxing them up with a piece of fruit, snack cup, and brownie! Everyone deserves a thank you for living up to Hunger Busters tagline, “Feeding Kids, Fueling Futures.” Way to go!

Oh the food – where do we start? 3015’s Executive Chef Jason Skinner and his culinary powerhouse team shone bright along with some special guests including Chef Gianni Santin from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas.

Chef Gianni jetted in to celebrate his good friend, Chef Sharon’s, big night and to share his passion – macarons! There was a whole table dedicated to these delectable sweets, PB and Jay, Red Velvet, and get this…bacon and cream cheese macarons!

Babb Brother’s BBQ was in the house throwing down the gauntlet with dang-good Q! Their barbecue sauce makes you want to eat it by the spoonful! Make sure you don’t miss out on their grand opening in the next month or so!

Terry Krantz showcased his specialty, meatballs. Those little bites belie their big taste! Keep an eye out for more news about Terry’s venture in the Trinity Groves development.

It’s not a party without good music, and we had that covered with internationally-acclaimed recording artist, Javier Mendoza. Javier and his band filled the room with his multi-lingual tunes that have a subtle edge of rock and roll.
